Safe human-robot cooperation/interaction
Brief description Innovation:
Use of various methods to ensure or improve safety in human-robot collaboration/interaction such as manual guidance of heavy-duty robots (use of assistive force fields to support the operator) and camera-based workspace monitoring (AI-based detection and tracking of humans and other objects)
Robotics in the factory of the future
Brief description Innovation:
Industrial robot technology, collaborative robotics, sensor-guided robots, robot programming - automation of manufacturing processes.
mobile - networked - intelligent - autonomous - future or already reality
Brief description Innovation:
With Kubernetes, rigid structures can be replaced by flexible and resilient ones. This means that the infrastructure can be utilized more optimally and if one component of the structure fails, it can be replaced by another. Furthermore, services can be distributed more easily and computing power can be bundled to perform additional tasks. These can be, for example, optimizing energy consumption and adapting consumption to generation without sacrificing comfort.
Components for architecture and the construction industry using high-performance 3D printing
Description of the innovation:
Development of a large-volume, powder-bed-based, additive manufacturing process based on selective laser melting (SLM) with a high build-up rate and a fully parametric preprocessing concept for the largely automated generation of 3D-printable, geometrically individual component geometries with large dimensions.
Rapid prototyping 3D process for casting production and CNC machining
Description of the innovation:
We have all the processes relevant to rapid prototyping for casting production and CNC machining through to the ready-to-install part in-house. Our "all in" concept is the basis for the fact that we can control all production processes ourselves and work to extremely tight deadlines.
Strip Till One Pass - reduced tillage as a tool to increase biodiversity on the land
Description of the innovation:
Further development of the practical approach of strip-till no-tillage in agriculture, on a technological and methodological level. At the technological level, the technology available on the market must be tested for the requirements of the process and in some cases redesigned. At the methodological level, an overall crop cultivation approach is being developed that is adapted to farm-specific and site-specific conditions.
Stress-free wear protection coatings DLC 2.0
Brief description Innovation:
The innovation is based on a patented technology that makes it possible to produce super-hard and at the same time stress-free DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This means that the corresponding coatings can be produced not only with maximum hardness, but also in any thickness. These will primarily be used for wear protection applications.
Thinking ahead and converting hydrogen into methane - pilot plant project on the move
Brief description Innovation:
The idea has long been described in the literature as the Sabatier reaction. It is an interesting option for transforming the energy industry: the hydrogen, which is easy to produce from electrical energy by electrolysis, must be delivered to the consumer and stored and transported in the process. The practical procedural and ultimately economic implementation of the Sabatier reaction requires some incremental innovations.
Neural tensor formats an innovative approach to machine learning
Brief description Innovation:
Development of scientific methods in machine learning, such as: (1) Tensorcalculus (TC): TC is a scientific software library for machine learning. TC enables easy access to neural tensor formats (NTF). NTF is used in all areas of machine learning, which mainly deal with function approximation. (2) Discrete Optimization Extension (DOpE)
